In 2010 Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

In 1960, the Eastwood family in Middlesbrough lost their daughter, Susan aged 6, to leukaemia. They were determined that their tragedy would mean something positive for all of the other families facing their ordeal and they raised money to help doctors find a cure for what was then a little known cancer.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research pin badgeSince then, thanks to the continued support of thousands of families like them, we have raised over £300 million for research into leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

As a result, today more and more people are surviving these blood cancers, and treatments are improving every year.

As Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research marks its Big Five-0 we want to celebrate our 50-year journey and also to look forward to the future. We hope that with your support, we can get closer to a cure for leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma and create for the next generation, a world free of blood cancers.
