Sunday 5 September- Bristol Half Marathon
Up to 20,000 runners are invited to take part but early entry is advised as the race fills up quickly. The race is now one of the largest and most popular half marathons in the country growing from 1,000 runners in 1989 to 16,000 in 2008. Tuesday 5 October - Love Cooking
Leukaemia & Lymphoma research is proud to be the charity partner for the brand new food festival - Love Cooking.
With it's colourful dining scene and common love for using quality, locally produced food from across the region, people in Bristol and the South West have a passion for flavour and a desire to see food cooked well.
BBC1's Saturday Kitchen host James Martin headlines a fantastic line up with Ainsley Harriott, Rachel Allen, Valentine Warner, Thomasina Miers and Gary Rhodes completing the event, which promises to whet the appetite of every cooking lover.

Sunday 23 October - BUPA Junior & Mini Great South Run

The Southampton Branch held a fantastically successful Skittles evening at Southampton Old Green Bowling Club. A supper was provided by A & B Catering and everybody had a very enjoyable evening, raising £ 200 in the process for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.
The St Mellons Golf Club hosted a charity golf day in Cardiff on Thursday 24 September. A great day was had by all and thank you to everyone that took part in the event.
