| | This year's event was held on Sunday 20 September 2009 and was the 29th Vintage Car Rally to be held in the grounds of Tredegar House, one of the best surviving examples of a 17th century mansion in the United Kingdom.

Over 1,500 exhibits were on display, with cars ranging from Ford model Ts from the early 1900's to American Cadillacs from the 1980's and sports cars such as Stags, Morgans, Jaguar, MGs and many others. There were also many vintage and veteran motor cycles, commercial vehicles, tractors, stationary engines and military vehicles on display.
Added attractions included a craft marquee, children’s amusements, autojumble, trade stands, and many other stalls.
Arena events were held all day and included: displays by the Rockwood dog display team, parade of vehicles, and a vintage and a classic car auction run by Newport Auctions.
